CHELSEA DEFEAT AT WEST HAM OPENS UP TOP FOUR RACE
After an impressive 2:1 victory that totally nailed Man City’s hopes for the EPL title this season, the blues for once this season was looking like a well-oiled machine that can’t be stopped. The dogged performance against City left no one in doubt of their capability to finish the season stronger, but a 3:2 moral draining defeat at West Ham on Wednesday night has thrown in a spanner in the ambitions of Lampard’s men to finish in a top-four place.
Leicester City on the other hand was forced to return home with their tales in between their legs from their adventure to Goodison Park where they took on Everton FC. The Toffees weren’t in any way generous to their visitors as they made them pay for their mistakes in the evening.
With the defeat of Chelsea and Leicester, points between Man U in fifth, wolves in six, and Leicester in third have been reduced to three points. While the gap between Chelsea in fourth, Man U in fifth and Wolve in six is now a mere two points difference.
Although the title has already been won and lost they are still so much to play for in both ends of the table because at the bottom teams are fighting to stay up while at the top and mid-table teams are fighting to get into European places.
